UNIT 1 - LESSON 2
I was 12 years old when it happened. I was washing the dishes in the kitchen when I saw the animal. I thought it was a dog at first - a big, black and yellow dog. Then it turned and started coming toward me and I realized it was a tiger. I noticed the kitchen door was open, so I shut it quickly. I was shaking all over! Remember that I was only 12 and I was alone in the house. Then I called the police. They told me to lock all the doors and windows and to call the neighbors. I about ten minutes the police arrived with a tiger trainer from the circus. When they arrived the tiger was asleep! It was sleeping in the sun outside the kitchen door. It was only a yound tiger and it had escaped from the circus.
